A few weeks ago, I shared a Limoges teacup I'd come across that came from Strawbridge & Clothier in Philadelphia. I assume it was sold in the store, not necessarily *used* at the store, but still, it was a fun find from American's retail past. Even more fun was coming across a vintage postcard showing what the tea room at Strawbridge & Clothier once looked like!
I enjoy collecting old tea room postcards, and I must say the backs of them aren't usually as ornate as this one! I just wish it had a date, but perhaps one day I'll find another one and learn exactly when in history the ladies got to enjoy this tea time scene at Strawbridge & Clothier!
